Along the Danube, between the Elizabeth Bridge and the Chain Bridge, the new port for Legenda sightseeing boats was built. The asymmetric, twin-hulled floating structure was a huge structural challenge and an exciting adventure at the same time.
In the design, the modern shipbuilding's horizontal proportions and rounded shapes provided the basic motif. The outside world is open, with a direct connection and view of the city. For this, we set up simple steel tube railings, X-tend mesh, clear colors, and some greenery on the rooftop terrace. Inside, we used warm, homey materials: Swedish flooring, solid wood support beams, turquoise shades, and subtle, natural details that can be seen in the space.
The interiors are organized in a super compact way. The ticket office, kitchen, changing room, and laundry fit with millimeter precision to the hull's features, so every function fits clearly within the tight system. Above the waterline, in the central waiting area, a small snack bar and comfy seating await the passengers.
The upper rooftop terrace serves as a chilled-out lookout point: green planter boxes create intimate spaces while keeping the boat balanced.
