The Grand Hotel Esztergom is perched on Prímás Island, right at the axis of the Danube and the basilica. This hotel vibes with both the historic layers of Esztergom and the flowing geometry of the landscape. Inside, the interior design brings the motifs of the Danube Bend to life: the river's path, the water's reflection, and the landscape's waves all shape the space. Right when you enter the lobby, you'll notice this, with the ceiling crafted from wavy wooden slats. These floating curves sync with the structural rhythm, softening and elevating the interior all at once.
Above the reception desk, a lightweight, custom-designed metal mesh lamp hovers like a cloud. The circular light installation hanging from the ceiling is a mix of chandelier and motion sketch. The lobby's vibe is further enhanced by a custom-designed graphic carpet, layered use of materials, and delicate plays of light.
Community spaces offer chances for chilling and different ways of hanging out. The restaurant on the ground floor features an open show kitchen – here, cooking is part of the experience, and the flavors aim to strike a balance between classic and contemporary.
The hotel's spacious conference rooms, flooded with natural light, are perfect for events and smaller gatherings. Pepper's adventure park, spreading over 700 square meters, offers games and activities with a laser maze, VR corner, and community sports, for both kids and adults. The Day Spa on the rooftop is a retreat for adults: sauna, steam, jacuzzi, and a sunny terrace provide relaxation.
The design of the rooms and 18 suites focuses on comfort while also incorporating city visual connections. The walls are adorned with uniquely designed, etching-like graphics featuring details of Esztergom. Many rooms offer a view of the city's scenic backdrops, but our main goal was to have the city vibe present inside every room.
