The new event hall of the Continental CityGolf Club in Budapest was completed in 2021, entirely based on designs by Kroki Studio. Although we usually only design interiors, here our studio was responsible for the external and internal design of the building, resulting in a cohesive and well-thought-out architectural concept. The main goal of the project was to create a contemporary building that seamlessly integrates with the surrounding green area, while being versatile and functioning as a distinctive community space.
The building's structure and walls are made of cross laminated timber (CLT) elements, which are super strong and meet the acoustic requirements needed for events. Using natural materials creates a visual dialogue with the 23 hectares of greenery surrounding the club, making it an integral part of the scene.
The vibe inside is defined by large glass surfaces that maintain a constant connection with the surroundings. The view of nature is a permanent companion to the events, and the 30 m² terrace completes the picture by providing direct access between the indoor and outdoor spaces.
The special feature of the event hall is the partition wall that discreetly includes all serving functions. Each section can be opened separately, allowing it to provide excellent service for events of any size.
