During the early stages of the renovation of the Drechsler Palace – the former Ballet Institute – we joined the project at the request of the DVM Group.
As a partner of the English interior design studio Bowler James Brindley, we developed the interior design execution plans jointly with the DVM Group on their commission.
Our task was to build the bridge between vision and final result.
The building that once housed the Hungarian State Ballet Academy drew its primary inspiration from two world-famous Hungarians: the luxurious style of Zsa Zsa Gabor and the astonishing feats of Houdini. Alongside these, characteristic motifs of life in Budapest are also represented.
Our aim was to transform the historic Drechsler Palace into a hotel of W Hotels by Marriott calibre, based on the concept of the British interior design studio Bowler James Brindley, with the highest level of detailing. Respecting the dignity of the heritage spaces and implementing the concept consistently, we created a guest experience in which every detail conveys a strong sense of place while delivering the highest standards of comfort and service.
