While planning the new library for the Budapest Business University, we kept in mind that the strong architectural concept created by the Gereben Marián Architects should also be supported by the interior. While designing the new heart of the campus, we made sure that the interior design solutions for transportation, study areas, and community zones fit as naturally as possible with the building's open, flowing design.
Inside, we intentionally avoided excessive gestures. We worked with a neutral, calm background so that the colors and movement of the books and university life could stand out.
The central question of the design was how to organize the reading areas, study corners, walkways, and relaxation zones in a compact system.
We designed open spaces where students can find their own rhythm. This way, the library's interior design became a natural companion to the whole building.
